Welcome to the newest version of Shameful Typos.com! If you have been here before, you’ll notice a few changes in the appearance. We hope this “blog-like” format is more interesting and user-friendly. To view older typos that aren’t one of the most 10 recent posted here, click on a category of typos in the category menu to see typos in that category. You can also browse through old typos by clicking on the links to the monthly archives.
Do you get annoyed by shameful typos? Have a digital camera, a scanner, or a computer you can use to capture web-site typos? Send them to us, and we’ll post them on this web site.
For each typo submission, we’d like the following info:
- Where was the photo taken? Be specific, such as “The French Poodle Restaurant, in Liverpool, New York.”
- When did you spot the typo? If it has been where you spotted it for years, tell us that, too.
- In case we can’t tell from the photo, what is the typo?
- What is the category of the typo? You can see the categories we use listed in the right-side menu of the web site.
- What is your name?
- How did you capture the typo, by camera, scanner, copying from a web-site, or other?
